About Me

Dear Parents:

Hi, my name is Jenni Clark and I'm so excited to be your child's Pre-Kindergarten teacher!  I'm looking forward to getting to know you, your family and most importantly, your child.  We may have moutains to climb in order to achieve successful listening and spoken language outcomes, but I know, without a doubt, that we can do this together through commitment and hard work.

This is my 14th year teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing children how to listen and talk.  Most of my career has been in private Auditory-Oral OPTIONS schools.   I have taught at Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children in San Antonio, TX, St. Joe's Institute for the Deaf (now CAOS) in Champaign, IL,  and The Atlanta Speech School here in Atlanta.  I decided to expand my horizons in the field of deaf education by venturing into plublic schools and and am now teaching at Cobb County's LSL Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing program at Still Elementary.  I have taught toddlers, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade.  When people ask what I do for a living, sometimes for fun I'll say "I help grow brains" which always leads to an interesting conversation. ;)

I live in Powder Springs with my husband, Geoff and have a daughter, Alexa who will be attending Kindergarten at Still Elementary this year.   In my spare time, I love to travel, explore new places, do home improvement projects, spend time with family and friends, participate in a statewide Deaf and Hard of Hearing advocacy committee, make coasters and read.

I'm looking forward to meeting you soon.   We're going to have a fabulous year!

Mrs. Jennifer Clark, MA, LSLS Cert. AVEd
